“And So Forth"
SUNNYSIDE UP MOMENT - APRIL 25, 2020
DAY FORTY OF THE CORONAVIRUS QUARANTINE FOR US AT STACK 'EM HIGH PANCAKES AND SO FORTH
As restaurant owners, Nick and I are trying to envision the coming season. How will we manage the line, assuming there is one? How will we keep track of the number of people in the building? How will we encourage the sense of togetherness that is at the heart of our business while keeping people safely apart? We are not the only ones grappling with these issues. And we are certainly not the only industry actively trying to prepare for the inevitable onset of guidelines and regulations about to be handed down.
Whatever the foreseeable future brings, we can only hope to meet the next chapter with the vim and vigor that has driven us through nearly forty years of service. We have always taken great pride in the trinity of good food, good vibes and good folks that meld the core of our endeavor. And as long as you are with us, that trinity will remain. The “x” factor of our menu, our atmosphere and our legacy has always been the “and so forth.” Now those words have new meaning as they breathe life into our second wind. Ironically, it was Francis Bacon, who said, “Hope is a good breakfast but a bad supper.” This season will be like no other season before, but we will move forth and move on and so it will be!
